**Position Summary**:

- **This position is a fixed term contract**_

The Case Coordinator is responsible for the review of new referrals and conduct client/patient telephone or virtual interviews for the purpose of selecting and confirming an appropriate course of assessments to support the patients’ medical needs. The Case Coordinator will work with our customers (plaintiff counsel) to select and submit appropriate assessments (OCF form completion) in line with customer requests. This position requires review of files, interviews with patients, and OCF submission in line with Q Medical’s quality standards.

The Case Coordinator will report to the Director of Operations. They will work closely and collaboratively with the Intake and Scheduling team, Quality Assurance Team, CAT department, the Medical Coordinators and our cross functional departments including Human Resources and the Finance Department.

**Responsibilities**
- Review of new referrals
- Review of patient medical files for supporting clinical information
- Communication with legal representatives for file clarity and recommendations
- Patient contact for completion of interview and to establish rapport
- Completion and Preparation of appropriate OCF forms via HCAI through Universal
- Tracking and follow up of OCF forms for patient signature and insurer approval
- Tracking of OCF insurer responses and coordination with scheduling department
- Communication with insurers and adjusters as needed to support OCF submission and approval
- Communication with scheduling department regarding selection of assessors
- Review section 44 reports pertaining to any denied OCF submissions
- Exceptional customer service and communication both written and verbal
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Qualifications**
**Experience**:

- A minimum of one (1) year of experience reviewing medical files
- 3 years of experience in a clinic setting or MVA industry (_**Experience working in the MVA industry an asset)**_
- A minimum of three (3) years of customer/client/patient service experience
- Knowledge and working experience with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) an asset
- Experience using the Universal Software an asset

**Education and Certifications**:

- University degree in related field

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written
- Critical thinking, problem solving and reasoning skills to analyze and interpret information
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, clients, colleagues, external partners and providers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- _**Knowledge and understanding of SABS an asset**_
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Word
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Multi-tasking, time management, planning and organizing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
