**About the role**

We are currently seeking a Property Appraiser who will play a key role in supporting our growth.

- Establish detailed cost estimates and verify the estimates provided by contractors to ensure that the services provided meet the procedural standards and that our insured receive a high level of customer service.
- Provide technical support to claims adjusters on the outcome of the appraisal and negotiate with contractors to reach an agreement regarding costs.
- Produce expert reports on problems encountered during the appraisal or the performance of post-claim restoration work and complete audits regarding our partners’ compliance.
- Establish the reconstruction values to determine the adequacy of insurance coverage.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Diploma in building appraisal or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 3 years’ experience in claims appraisal
- Proficiency with Xactimate claims estimating software
- Technical and practical knowledge of the restoration of damaged buildings
