**Assistant Coach, SmartLife**:

CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you We are currently searching for an **Assistant Coach, SmartLife** Reporting to the Program Manager and SmartLife Head Coach, The Assistant Coach, SmartLife provides operational support at the SmartLife Center in the Halifax office. This includes demonstrating products, providing information about CNIB’s programs and services, and making sales. In the absence of the SmartLife Coach, this position will act as the primary storekeeper.

**Your impact at CNIB**:

- Provides information to SmartLife customers concerning products available through the CNIB SmartLife store.
- Provides in-person and virtual product demonstrations for high and low-tech SmartLife products including digital magnifiers, wearables, talking watches, etc.
- Operates a point-of-sale system to process and track shop sales
- Acts as the front desk, greeting people as they arrive, signing for parcels, directing walk-ins, etc.
- Executes invitation calls and follow-up calls to participants and customers.
- Provide planning and delivery assistance with client-focused programs
- Administrative responsibilities in support of CNIB operations including answering calls, responding to in-person inquiries, and tracking client participation in SmartLife Demonstrations, programs, etc.; other general administrative duties as required

- Well developed interpersonal and communications skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office software.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute a plan of action.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional attitude, self-starter and flexible.
- Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature when dealing with the needs of persons experiencing sight loss.

**We want to hear from you if you have**:

- Experience working with the general public.
- Related fields of study include social services, disability studies, administration, communications, technology, customer service or equivalent work experience.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

**Work Environment**:

- Completing admin work at a computer with regular interruptions
- Regular contact with the public on the phone and in-person
- Office-setting
