**Highlights of Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to lead month end close of financial statements using the percentage completion method of accounting
- Monitor cash flow and manage timing of payments
- Creation of financial models using excel (Power pivot, pivot tables, Vlookup) for job costs reports and budgets and other ad hoc analysis
- Assist with yearend budget process and quarterly forecasting
- Participate in the development of and support of the company’s strategic plans
- Monitor the financial performance of the organization
- Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
- Communicate financial metrics to the VP of Finance and ownership team
- Supervise and provide leadership and support to other accounting team members. This is a hands-on position as well as supervisory.
- Active involvement in helping the company achieve strategic goals and continuous improvement objectives as outlined in the Business Plan
- Develop/maintain/improve timely and accurate information systems which aid in planning, control, and management of the operation
- Provides systems to protect, control, and improve return on operation's assets
- Ensure proper statutory reporting and payments
- Acts as liaison with internal and external Accountants and firms as required
- Serve as a special projects leader and demonstrate well-honed project management capabilities
- Provide overall support specifically to the management team and overall organization
- Provide employee coaching, development and training
- Completion of a related (business and/ or accounting) degree or diploma program with an accounting designation required; preference given to CA, CPA
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience in a Controller capacity
- Experience and understanding of franchising models
- Strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Detail oriented with an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of cannabis industry regulatory standards and compliance preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
