**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager for Primary Health Care (PHC) or designate, the Secretary I will work remotely to provide provincial support to the virtual platform and respond to patient queries about the program. The Secretary I will work collaboratively with family physicians, nurse practitioners, the VCNS team and other health care providers and teams and will perform the following duties/responsibilities:

- Receive and responds to inquiries and requests, both on the phone and in person, exercising sound judgment, courtesy, and confidentiality
- Organize patient charts in the virtual platform including scanning and uploading files and faxes as required, and completes transcription related to patient care
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and maintaining sufficient inventory of supplies\Provide program assistance which may include brochure development, planning and coordination of launches, educational sessions and other special events as related to various projects
- Transcribe and distribute minutes of various committees and working groups as requested by management team
- Assist with the planning and organization of various meetings as requested by management team
- Collect data, performs data entry and maintains other relevant information as required by NShIS, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and generates statistical reports as required
- Assist with tracking expenditures through the organization of expenses in excel documents as requested
- Work with mínimal supervision, using sound judgment to make decisions
- Responsible to hold in confidence all matters pertaining to clients, staff
- Organize patient charts
- Experience working in a family practice setting with family physicians and nurse practitioners an asset
- Other related duties as assigned
- This position has flexibility to work remotely.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade XII required
- Graduate of a recognized office administration program required
- Experience working in EMR
- Certificate in medical terminology required
- One-year recent experience in office administration
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with accuracy
- Computer literacy including demonstrated skills in EMR, Word, Excel, and Publisher
- Background in health care preferred
- Must have demonstrated good attendance in current and past employment
- Demonstrates an awareness of organizational and community needs
- Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position such as working flexible hours, dealing with stressful situations and travelling within the Community Health Network and to other areas as required
- Fluent in French and English preferred

- Temporary Fulltime Long Assignment - 70 hours biweekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.15 - $ 21.98 Hourly
