**Job Title: Intern - Sustainability**
We are seeking a creative and motivated Intern - Sustainability with a passion for the environment and regulatory practices. The Intern - Sustainability will work as a member of Skeena’s Sustainability team to support initiatives focused on environmental stewardship, community engagement, and sustainable practices. You'll gain hands-on experience in data analysis, project development, and stakeholder communication while contributing to Skeena’s over all goals.
**Responsibilities (including but not limited to)**:
- Assisting with preparing environmental and regulatory documents including gathering and correlating information from technical experts
- Providing support for general project administrative tasks, including event planning, and producing communication materials
- Participate in meetings and workshops to gather feedback and promote sustainability efforts
- Help coordinate communication with local communities, government agencies, and internal stakeholders
- Conduct research on sustainability best practices in the mining industry
- Contribute to the development of educational materials and training sessions on sustainability practices
- Help track and report on sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Participate in community engagement initiatives and stakeholder consultations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for reducing environmental impact
- All other reasonable duties as assigned
- Must be currently enrolled in a recognized or accredited post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the Internship, preferably in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Detail oriented with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic about social media
**Work Location & Conditions**:
This is an office-based job, in Skeena’s Corporate office located in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Monday to Friday schedule. This is an eight-month Internship running from January through August 2025.
