Specialty Bakery is Kelowna's leading independent Bakery, providing the largest, most diverse baking selections available in the City. We are continuing to have exceptional growth, and we are in need of additional pastry bakers.

**Duties**

Creates pastries, desserts, and other baked goods for a bakery. The main responsibilities of a Pastry Cook/Assistant include producing high volumes of products, and decorating cakes professionally and creatively.

**Requirements**:

- Be passionate about their craft, love food, love fresh ingredients
- Team player
- Possess a calm demeanor but have a sense of urgency as required
- Detail orientated, you DO sweat the small stuff
- Must thrive in a multi-tasking, fast paced working environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superb time management and organizational skills
- Must be creative and innovative yet able to adjust style to suite guest’s specific needs and requests
- Well-rounded skill set with proficiency in the production and decoration of cakes, pastries, desserts, and breads.
- Journeyman/Red Seal Certification an asset
- Minimum 3 years in similar position/level in a busy and creative environment, or similar experience
