**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a **Masters Co-Op Student** to join our **Corporate Affairs** team in Toronto.

This is a fixed term hybrid position**,** working a Monday to Friday schedule. This is a 4 month-fixed term co-op position starting in May 2025.

As a Masters Co-Op Student, you will primarily be responsible for government and association relations, policy research, policy analysis, and advocacy on behalf of Vale Base Metals

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Support public policy research on topics related to the mining and minerals industry globally, with a particular focus on Canada, the EU, UK, and US.
- Support internal and external meeting and issues briefs, summaries on key issues and initiatives involving our company with our communities, Governments, engagement with Indigenous Rightsholders.
- Tracking and supporting company associations, affiliations, committees, and memberships participation, and maintaining stakeholder maps and corresponding databases for key Vale Base Metals’ jurisdictions.
- Assist in drafting letters for Government and industry leaders
- Other activities that arise with the Corporate Affairs team

**About You**

**Education**:

- Pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Policy, Global Affairs, Political Science, or related degree

**Skills**:

- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint
