**Glenbrooke Daycare is currently seeking a Daycare Manager (40 hrs per week). **Ideal start date will be June 5, 2023. Start date is negotiable with the Board.

**Description**

Glenbrooke Daycare Society (Glenbrooke Daycare) is a not-for-profit daycare located in New Westminster, BC. We have been a proud member of the community for over 15 years, offering a full range of programs for infants, toddlers and children aged 1 to 12 years old. There are currently 10 staff and 54 daycare spots between 2 locations (the main daycare and before/after school care facility). Daycare hours are 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The Manager will be reporting to the Glenbrooke Daycare Board of Directors (“the Board”). The Daycare Manager is responsible for the overall management of both the Main Daycare and Before & Afterschool Daycare locations.

**A typical day would involve**:

- Leading the overall financial, administrative, and operational management of both the main and before/after school daycare locations.
- Overseeing daily staffing requirements to maintain ratios and manage ongoing performance and professional development of current staff.
- Work with staff to set daily programming for the children, as well as supported childcare plans and special programming (Christmas break, March break, summer program).
- Manage key relationships with parents, landlords, funders, school district, government, health authority, community partners and contractors.
- Coordinate fundraising, marketing, and informational materials to enhance facilities and programs and promote Daycare programs and services to the community.

**You have**:

- Strong interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with children
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification from an accredited program strongly preferred.
- Proficient at MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Previous experience in a not-for-profit daycare environment, and/or previous management experience at a daycare facility, is considered an asset.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Additional educational qualifications in child education-related fields are also beneficial (e.g., Infant/Toddler certification, teaching certifications).

**Salary**: $58,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
