Job Summary:
**Duties**:

- Assist in building/setting of concrete forms - whether it's ICF, Duraform or Formply for architectural finishes
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding/walking planks
- Clean the construction site and keep a tidy working environment
- Construct footings out of dimensional lumber as per layout design.
- Provide support to site Foreman
- Pour concrete footings and trowel/ as well as install Capillary breaks/wet setting dowels as per structural plans
- Pumping concrete into forms in lifts (4’ lifts without separating concrete on rebar)
- Install and tie rebar as per structural drawings
- Install all construction joints - expansion joints, PVC waterstop + vertical Bentonite waterstop in pour breaks
- Operate concrete vibrator
- Formsetters **MUST** know how to accurately finish TOW to grade nails
- Verify trueness of structure (plumb, level, square)
- Install drops, beam pockets, baseplates, anchor bolts, brickledges as per structural design into foundation walls
- Stripping/Dismantling of concrete forms after pour is complete
- Grout tie holes after strip is complete
- Clean off footings for waterproofing
- Install/grade gravel to the requirement height for underslab

**Requirements**:

- 3 years of working with residential foundation concrete construction
- Basic math skills (and possess Construction Master 5 Calculator)
- Ability to read a blueprint and flip between Structural/Architectural drawings
- G license with a reliable vehicle to get to site/carpool location
- Must speak/read English fluently and have a smartphone with internet capabilities
- Strong attention to detail
- A strong rough carpentry background is a must
- Be physically fit and able to repetitively lift upwards of 100 lbs
- Good attitude and a team player with willingness to learn. Fully care about your job and want to succeed
- A forward thinker; thinking about what’s next or what can I do instead of standing around
- Knowledge of different foundation/suspended slab formwork (Duraform, ICF, Formply, Peri)
- Willingness to travel out of town for jobs and stay in Airbnb with crew - Prince Edward County, Muskoka
- Have your own basic tools (Apron, hammer, chalk line, tape, speed square, plumb bob, catspaw, knife)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Follow safety guidelines and Formworks Core values
- Valid WAH

Pay: $35.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
