Kitchen Coordinator

The Kitchen Coordinator efficiently manages groceries, inventory, meal planning and preparation at Willow House, a residential 24/7 facility serving women and children who are victims of domestic violence, homeless or in crisis. The goal is to provide quality, cost effective, appealing food for shelter residents. This job entails planning/preparing supper meals daily.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience and comfort cooking/baking for 16-18 people
- Exceptional budgeting skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to coordinate and deliver basic cooking & kitchen skills/lessons to small groups
- Maintaining a small kitchen space
- Valid NL Driver’s license
- Holds or is willing to obtain First Aid, Food Handling and other relevant training
- Comfort working in a crisis environment under a trauma informed, feminist framework

Must provide a clear vulnerable sector check.

Duties & Responsibilities include: Inventory, shopping, meal planning, cooking and baking. Maintaining strict health and hygiene standards. Seeking input and feedback. Managing receipts and a small budget.

Hours of work: 40-44 hours biweekly as determined by the needs of the organization. Mostly afternoons/evenings, Sunday-Thursday tentative. Flexibility available.
