TECHNICIAN CELL BIOLOGY & ASSAY DEVELOPMENT

We are developing meat that is tasty, nutritious and respectful of animals and our planet and we want to produce it as quickly as possible. To carry out this ambitious project, we are building a multi-talented team composed of people who thrive on stimulating challenges.

Required skills
- Strong background in cell and tissue culture using sterile techniques.
- Routine handling of mammalian cell cultures including stable cell line maintenance and passages, freezing and thawing cells.
- Maintaining cell stocks and freezer inventories.
- Preparing cell isolates from primary sources.
- Preparing, labelling, and making aliquots of common lab reagents.
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.

Skills considered a plus
- High-throughput screening of single cells using proprietary, cutting-edge technology.
- Performing reagent quality control and conducting fluorescence-based immunoassays, using flow cytometry and/or microscopy.
- Organizing, ordering, and managing common inventory and reagents.

Required qualifications
- Technique in cell biology or in microbiology / medical research, bioprocess / bioscience.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a laboratory environment (applicable if equivalence as an intern).
