**Job Title: Maintenance Associate/Concierge/Handyman**
**Location**: Greater Montreal area
**Employment Type**: Full-Time
**Reports To**: Property Manager
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform general repair and maintenance tasks across the property.
- Execute painting and plaster work for walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed.
- Handle minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and unclogging drains.
- Carry out minor electrical work, including replacing light bulbs, switches, outlets, and other components.
- Install, repair, and maintain door hardware, such as locks, handles, hinges, and weather stripping.
- Repair or replace flooring, including tile, laminate, and carpeting.
- Patch and repair drywall or plaster, addressing holes, cracks, or other damage.
- Fix or replace damaged windows, screens, and doors.
- Perform basic carpentry tasks, such as installing shelves, assembling furniture, or repairing cabinetry.
- Address appliance repairs (e.g., troubleshooting or replacing parts of dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators).
- Unclog drains, toilets, or replace minor parts (e.g., flappers, handles) for plumbing fixtures.
- Assist with HVAC maintenance such as filter replacement or basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety standards and codes.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and performing preventive maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and scheduled maintenance.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors when necessary.
- Provide general support to tenants, addressing repair requests and inquiries.
- Monitor the condition of properties, reporting any safety hazards or urgent repairs.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance associate, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of repair techniques for painting, plastering, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks.
- Bilingual in French and English (both written and spoken).
- Must own a car and be willing to use it for work purposes.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in property management maintenance is a plus.
- Certifications in plumbing, electrical, or other technical areas are a bonus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
