**Salary**: $2,896.94 to $3,741.60 bi-weekly ($75,610 to $97,655/year)

Forestry and Parks - Responsible for growing our manufactured wood products and forestry sector, preserving, and managing our public lands and protected areas. Protected areas are essential to the quality of life that Albertans enjoy. **Role Responsibilities**:
Are you passionate about sustainable land management and environmental stewardship? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Provincial Land Administrator. As a key player in the management of provincial crown lands, you'll be responsible for making informed regulatory decisions, ensuring the highest and best use of these lands, and balancing economic development with conservation objectives.

**Responsibilities include**:
Integrated Land Use Management: Evaluate provincial crown lands to determine the most sustainable and balanced use, considering industrial, commercial, tourism, and recreational activities. You'll be involved in examining proposed land exchanges, managing conflicts between different land uses, and contributing to the development of regional plans.

Disposition Lifecycle Management: Manage and administer dispositions throughout their lifecycle, from renewal and assignment to closure or cancellation. Your role involves reviewing existing dispositions, advising clients on proper procedures, and navigating complex scenarios such as expired dispositions.

**Qualifications**:
**Requirements**:

- A University Degree in: Natural Science, Environmental Sciences or in a related field.
- Supplemented by 4 years progressively responsible experience in a related field.

**Equivalency**: Directly related education or experience may be considered based on:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year education

**Assets**:

- A strong understanding of provincial legislation, including the Public Lands Act, Parks Act, Forest Act, and associated regulations. Experience in making informed regulatory decisions and managing complex land use scenarios.
- Educational Background: A degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent, demonstrating a solid foundation in environmental management and related disciplines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution. The ability to navigate and resolve disputes with diverse stakeholders, including industry clients, government agencies, and the public.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to maintain efficiency in a fast-paced work environment, along with effective time management abilities to respond promptly to changing work demands.
- Strong understanding of land management practices, including assessing impacts on wildlife, soil, timber, water, and indigenous use. Familiarity with reclamation standards and practices.
