A Fort Glass Automatic Door Technician should be able to work independently and with others, be familiar with a wide range of automatic door brands and have a good understanding of door hardware, electrical theory, and building practices. AAADM certification and experience in the glazing industry is an asset.

General hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00AM - 4:30PM with occasional options for overtime. This is a full time, year around position.

Daily Duties:

- Maintain, operate and manage Fort Glass service vehicle inventory, parts, tools and consumables.
- Conduct yourself in a professional, safe manner.
- Complete daily service and installation calls on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to Low Energy Swing Doors, Full Auto Swing Doors, Sliding Doors, and Revolvers.
- Document all work performed, and clearly communicate to the customer and Fort Glass.
- Conducting site visits and compiling the necessary information to assist the team in building quotes.
- Work with customers in understanding the openings mode of operation and provide solutions to meet end user’s needs.
- Helping customers to extend the life of their investment in an automatic entrance system by educating clients on the proper use and care of their automatic doors.
- Maintaining good customer relations and customer service.

Other duties
- Fort Glass Vehicle Inspection.
- Installation of Doors and Frames.
- Installation of Glass and other glazing materials.
- Other duties as required.

Assets
- AAADM certification
- Knowledge of common brands of automatic entrance systems.
