As Repair & Maintenance Technician you will provide leadership and guidance to our Property Services team, while overseeing the maintenance of our properties in a safe and efficient manner.
**A Day in the Life**
Our Repair and Maintenance Technician will play an integral role in maintaining the quality of our properties and the reputation of our brand Each day our Repair and Maintenance Technicians are responsible for a number of different and reoccurring tasks that keep our properties in excellent condition Some tasks include:
- Monitoring, scheduling, responding to Maintenance work order requests:
- Addressing both interior and exterior issues.
- Addressing minor plumbing issues.
- Repairing drywall
- Adjusting and replacing doors
- Repairing and installing appliances and furniture.
- Minor HVAC Troubleshooting and repair.
- Minor Electrical Troubleshooting and repair.
- Adjustments to thermostats
- Security Alarm testing.
- Scheduling and working alongside contractors as needed.
- Working with local vendors.
- Address key fob issues.
- Installing and repairing interior and exterior lighting.
Every member of our Property team interacts with residents daily, requiring positive and professional interaction, while working in a fast paced environment.
**Skills and Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, College Certificate of Trade Program Certification is considered an asset.
- Working Outdoors in all conditions and temperatures.
- Experience in General maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Positive and professional interpersonal skills.
- Positive solutions oriented.
- Highly Motivated, self-driven, flexible, and detail oriented.
- Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
- Time Management, organization, and prioritization.
- Punctual, Dependable, Can-do attitude.
- Must be equipped with a range of personally owned tools and CSA Approved Footwear (Must be worn at all times). Uniform will be provided.
- Reliable transportation to get to the property.
- A Police Criminal Record Check will be required upon hire.
