**FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES**

Scope Analysis:

- Review project scopes of work to gain a comprehensive understanding of the requirements.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams, to clarify scope details and requirements.

Execution Methodology:

- Develop detailed execution methodologies based on project specifications and scope.
- Work closely with project managers, construction supervisors, and engineers to optimize construction methods and communicate them through the estimating process.

High-Level Schedule Development:

- Support the creation of high-level project schedules, considering critical milestones and dependencies at the estimate stage in response to RFP/RFQ’s.
- Collaborate with scheduling and planning teams to align estimates with project timelines.

Risk Identification and Mitigation:

- Proactively identify potential risks and uncertainties in project execution.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks through effective clarification, alternative solutions, and contingency planning.
- Analyse and assess the various contractual clauses.

Cost Estimation:

- Utilize industry-standard estimating tools and software to prepare accurate and competitive project cost estimates.
- Analyze historical data and benchmarking to ensure the competitiveness of the estimates.

Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and procurement, to gather necessary information and insights.
- Coordinate and participate in the preparation of tender documents.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Related post-secondary education or construction supervision background (Diploma/Degree/Field Experience)
- Industrial job site experience is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Accubid and Blue Beam considered an asset
- Understanding and knowledge of scheduling
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must possess excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated, sociable, positive team member

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Full time - 8 hours per day/40 hours per week
- Based in Sherwood Park, AB
- Travel to various job sites across Western Canada as required
