Safety Compliance Rotational Shift

**General Purpose**
The Safety Compliance will be responsible to continuously develop and maintain the company, and related company’s Safety and Compliance. The coordinator will promote and establish a safety-first culture while ensuring compliance with current regulatory requirements with all government agencies including, but not limited to, MOT and DOT.
Openings on rotating, days and midnight shifts.
**Prerequisites**
- Minimum 5 years of transportation industry experience
- 1-year verifiable experience in Safety and Compliance in the logistics/trucking industry (preferred)
- Extensive understanding of all transportation regulatory requirements
- Ability to multi-task in a multi-office location organization
- AZ license is required
- Operational knowledge of tractor/trailer combinations an asset.
- Advanced computer skills including in-depth experience with Excel.
- Grade 12 Diploma / GED required. Post secondary education preferred.
- No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.

**Operational Responsibilities**
- Ensuring compliance of company’s safety policy and procedures by regular review meetings with staff and monitoring company’s CVOR-safety rating and driver vehicle inspections on monthly basis.
- Acts as a leader, ensuring proper work instructions, information sessions and training.
- Proficiently performing log auditing for each driver to make sure they follow hours of service for DOT & MTO.
- Approves correction action measures to address process and/or team members performance gaps in relation to safety and operational compliance, policies and practices.
- Sets and monitors departmental target performance against goals to ensure team members, stakeholder and customer satisfaction is met and/or exceeded.
- Schedule medicals and drug tests to ensure continuous driver compliance.
- Managing, processing, and auditing driver logs. Follow up on any outstanding discrepancies.
- Maintaining complete and accurate records of tractor and trailer maintenance files such as preventive maintenance bills for owner operators and company units.
- Reviewing and persistent follow up on traffic tickets, convictions, and accidents.
- Efficiently manage documents of all trucks and trailer files with three years of annual inspections and repair bills with attached CVOR in each vehicle file and driver file.
- Responsible for managing all fleet documents while ensuring all equipment have proper documentation. For example: insurance documents, expiry dates, registrations, etc.
- Generating reports and conducting analysis as needed.
- Knowledge of MTO audits.
- Processing and maintaining CTPAT and US DOT requirements.
- Knowledge of hours-of-service regulations
- All other duties as assigned.
