**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Reporting to the Manager of Staffing Resource Team and Resource Float Pool, the Rotation Consultant provides consultation and support to managers in rotation management techniques to optimize resource utilization. The Rotation Consultant facilitates change, advises on best practice and liaises with various stakeholders to achieve optimal results. This work is done manually, optimally utilizing available financial and human resources. The Rotation Consultant must take into consideration the budget, coverage requirements, existing positions, and collective agreement rules and must adhere to organizational rotation build guidelines.
- Analyze and create optimized schedules and master rotations using standard methodology and tools (75%);
- Work with managers to review, plan and improve rotation quality and predictability (5%);
- Collaborates with the scheduling service regarding the implementation of delivered rotations (10%);
- Maintains a rotation review schedule ensuring review timelines are met (10%);
- Other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Diploma in Health Administration, Health Planning, Business or relevant field; undergraduate degree preferred;
- 2+ years experience using scheduling systems in a unionized environment;
- 2+ years experience using rotation build tools including MS Excel
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and team building skills;
- Experience training adults is an asset
- Experience working in a unionized environment with multiple management levels (preferred);
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of collective agreement language and interpretation;
- Advanced demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively negotiate and resolve conflict while demonstrating a high degree of professionalism;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage related projects in a fast-paced environment
- Must have satisfactory performance record;
- Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.
