**Job Summary**:
As a Maintenance Area Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and reliability of Business Unit (BU) machines and PM program through hands-on maintenance, skilled problem-solving, team development, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors.

**Location**:

- Finch Plant: 6650 Finch Avenue West, Etobicoke, ON

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the BU's day-to-day and long-term objectives through leading and executing maintenance initiatives, such as troubleshooting, executing PM, corrective maintenance, and assisting the Maintenance team.
- Lead troubleshooting tasks and operation downtimes to resolve issues effectively for the BU.
- Support the maintenance planner/MRO buyer in maintaining the inventory of stock items for the BU and improving PM effectiveness.
- Implement a robust downtime management system to mitigate unplanned downtime and optimize planned maintenance activities for the BU.
- Lead the Maintenance BU part on Daily and Weekly Management Meetings, providing project updates, assigning jobs, and communicating countermeasures when applicable.
- Conduct workplace inspections, including safety, GMP violations, production line and equipment issues within the BU.

**Recipe for success**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair
- Excellent problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills
- Advanced working knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and components, including, but not limited to, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensors, Transmitters, DC and AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc Flash
- Working knowledge and experience in Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling Systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical approach to troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
