**Position:Assistant Photographer & Videographer**
**Reports To**:
Jon Dunford, Lead Photographer

**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
1.Photography: Utilize professional photography equipment and techniques to capture clear, detailed, and aesthetically pleasing images of auction items, including fine art, antiques, collectibles, and memorabilia.

2. Videography: Capture product demonstration videos showcasing size, scale, and mechanical functionality of auction objects. Ability to edit product videos and successfully upload to proper YouTube channels.

2. Image Editing: Perform post-processing tasks such as cropping, color correction, and retouching to enhance the quality and presentation of images while adhering to established guidelines and standards. Coordinate with a third-party image editing team to ensure timely turnaround of image edits.

3. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories, to facilitate smooth operations during photo shoots.

4. Studio Setup: Assist in setting up and organizing photography studios, including lighting arrangements, backgrounds, and props, to create optimal shooting environments for different types of auction items.

5. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of photographed items, including digital image files and associated metadata, to facilitate cataloging, tracking, and retrieval processes.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with auction specialists, cataloging teams, and marketing professionals to understand photography requirements, meet deadlines, and ensure alignment with auction objectives and strategies.

7. Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of captured images to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with established standards and specifications before finalizing for publication or distribution.

8. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in photography and imaging techniques to enhance skills, efficiency, and effectiveness on the job.

Qualifications:

- Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent certification in photography, visual arts, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in commercial or product photography, particularly in an auction house or similar setting, is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating DSLR cameras, studio lighting equipment, and image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom and Google Suite.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality images that accurately represent auction items.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks, manage workflows, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and project requirements as needed.
