Family Preservation Worker for Indigenous Based

**In your role you will**:
¨ Develop effective working relationships with families and the community

¨ Develop strong partnerships with a multi disciplinary team

¨ Provide non-clinical counseling and mediation

¨ Create comprehensive reports using Microsoft Office programs

¨ Remain open-minded and have the ability to build and maintain healthy, helping relationships

¨ Provide Crisis Management

¨ Offer support and guidance to youth and families

¨ Support competency skill development for all members of the family

¨ Possess the ability to develop and implement effective interventions with children, youth and families

¨ Completion of Degree or Diploma in the Human Services field

¨ Six (6) months of directly related experience in youth and/or family work

¨ Equivalencies may be considered

¨ Police Information Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months)

¨ Children Services Intervention Record Check (from within the last 6 months)

¨ Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, reliable vehicle and auto insurance, as well as the ability to drive an agency vehicle

¨ Emergency First Aid-Level C CPR + AED

¨ Strong counseling, mediation, crisis intervention, program planning, leadership and communication skills

¨ Strong assessment and intervention skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment

¨ Knowledge of family dynamics, addiction, domestic violence and mental health disorders

¨ Excellent knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Agreement

¨ An understanding of Collaborative Service Delivery and Signs Of Safety are an asset

**Starting Rate of Pay**: $27.90-$31.40 per hour; depending on experience and education
