The Quality Assurance Associate role is to assist the Quality Assurance Manager and to help provide quality oversight of all stages of the manufacturing process; providing guidance to production personnel to address quality issues and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The role includes interfacing with all employees in functional areas such as: Management, Lead Hands, Customer Service Associates, and Production Staff. As well, you will be interfacing with inspection agencies, customers, suppliers, and sales representatives.

**AS A QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSOCIATE, YOU WILL**
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Review and approve incoming documentation from suppliers to ensure accurate receipt and suitability for use.
- Review and approve inspection and test planning documents for shop operations.
- Record control of approved suppliers and personnel qualifications.
- Prepare and review quality documentation to be submitted to the customer.
- Maintain quality procedures and quality manuals.
- Assist with performing supplier audits (with opportunity to obtain lead auditor / nuclear lead auditor qualifications through our qualification procedure and training).
- Responsible for traveling within Canada and US conducting internal and supplier audits and completing yearly supplier assessments.
- Assist in analyzing, tracking, and trending data and determining appropriate actions to improve trending (nonconformances, corrective and preventative actions)
- Be responsible for quality oversight of all stages of the manufacturing process; providing guidance to production personnel to address quality issues and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following written standards and procedures and complying with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Post-Secondary Education, required (Materials, Business, Engineering, Quality, Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering preferred)
- 3+ years of manufacturing environment or customer service experience
- 1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance

**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Self-motivated with excellent organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to problem solve
- Microsoft office experience
- Quick learner
- 1+ years Quality Assurance Experience, and/or, Sales and/or Engineering Experience, preferred
- 1+ years Project Management Skills, order entry, manufacturing, or engineering experience, preferred
- Manage large workloads and meet goals by multi-tasking in a busy environment with ability to work with tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities
- Work well under pressure and effectively paying attention to the details
- Experience with ISO 9001, CSA Z299/ CSA N299 and CSA N285 is a plus
- Oracle business system knowledge is a plus
