**Nature of the job**:
The Employment Intergration specialist works directly with a clientele presenting a physical, intellectual disability and / or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Employment Intergration specialist is responsible to teach pre-voctional skills, assist in the clients stage work(on-site of job), elaborating, implementing and updating the programs for clients, individually or in groups.

They are responsible for the practice of various activities in order to stimulate the development of various skills (autonomy, communication, management of emotions, interpersonal relationships, work skills, etc.) as well as to reduce inappropriate behaviors. With the appropriate intervention techniques, they observe and analyze the behavior of clients, participate in the assessment of their needs and capacities as well as the establishment of adaptation and rehabilitation objectives to be pursued in the intervention plan. The employment integration specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with the clinical process, for documenting their actions and information relating to clinical activities in the client's file and for informing the partners involved (family,professionals, employers). They participate in team meetings and collaborates with their colleagues and with the various professionals and partners involved in client files.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Teach vocational skills such as work etiquete, social skills, completing tasks in a timely manner, communication skills ect.
- Help identify potential stage oppertunities, based on intrest andf needs of the students
- Facilitating clients on their stage work (being present on site). Assisting needs, and evaluating progress
- Assesing and evaluating goals, needs, and intrest of the clients
- Prepare educational tools and materials as well as activity projects;
- creation of projects and programs as well as implementing specific intervention techniques and tools (i.e:visuals, schedules,re-inforcement charts ect.)
- Measure progress through periodic reviews (every 3 months or less);
- Advise families and partners on the strategies and tools necessary to ensure the smooth running of the program.
- Participate in internal meetings with the team and with partners;
- All other related tasks.

**Required qualification**:

- Diploma of college studies (DEC) in special education techniques or a related field, from a school recognized by the competent ministry; or
- A certificate or attestation of college studies in special education techniques or a related field;
- Experience working with children or youth with special needs, intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Ability to communicate in English and French, spoken and written
- CPR and general first aid certification or participate in the respective training
- Have the right to work legally in Canada, in accordance with applicable federal and provincial laws and regulations;
**Plus**:

- Knowledge of intervention models, approaches and tools (ABA, TEACH, PECS)
- Experience working with clients with severe behavioral disorders (TGC)

**Special requirements**:
Minimum of two professional references

Ability to communicate in English

**Salary**:
$24/h to $26.50/h, according to education and experience

**Work place**:
