**Seeking Part Time respite workers**
We are a small private agency that provides in-home and out of home support for youth and adults. We are currently adding members to our team in the Chatham-Kent area who have a variety of developmental and emotional needs. Applicants should have experience in child and youth care, and the willingness to continue to learn in this challenging but rewarding career field.
All applicants must demonstrate the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, have effective crisis intervention skills, communicate successfully and interact positively with clients and their families.
This position requires:
- Post Graduate Degree such as Early Childhood Education, Developmental Service Worker, Social Service Worker, Child and Youth Worker or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with special needs
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge and/or experience with children's mental health
- Commitment to providing quality life experiences in home and in the community
- First Aid, CPR certification
- Must possess CPI or PMB training or be willing to obtain it
- Access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance
- Willingness to travel within Chatham-Kent
- Ability to work evenings, days and weekends
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
