The Network Operations team deploys and manages the network infrastructure for Leaseweb’s cloud services in Canada and is involved in customer-centric activities like solution design, provisioning, configuration changes and incident resolution.

The team works closely with other local teams (e.g. other Operations teams, Sales, Pre-Sales), as well as with Leaseweb’s Global Network Operations team.

**What is the role about?**

As a Network Operations Manager, you lead a team of network administrators, while you contribute hands-on to the tasks of the team.

The performance of the network infrastructure is critical to the performance and user experience of Leaseweb’s cloud services, so your team is instrumental to Leaseweb’s success in Canada. The network infrastructure is based on routing, switching, optical transmission and cybersecurity technology from multiple leading vendors. The activities include budgeting and planning, design and deployment of new sites or capacity expansions, traffic engineering, capacity management and incident/problem resolution.

In addition to managing the network infrastructure, the team is involved in designing, provisioning, supporting and managing network services and equipment for customers, combining Leaseweb’s dedicated servers, cloud services and data storage services into an end-to-end hosting solution and typically involving switching, firewalling and load-balancing technology,

In your day-to-day life, you work with the Management Team to plan infrastructure projects, you work with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to design hosting solutions for customers that your team can provision and support, you work with other Operations teams (e.g. Data Center Operations and Logistics) for the physical work (e.g. installation, equipment swaps) and you work with the Global Network Operations Team to agree and deploy global network architecture, technology, systems and processes.
- Demonstrable knowledge of:

- Mandatory: routing and switching technology (CCIE level or equivalent), hand-on experience with Juniper, Cisco and Arista is a plus.
- Preferred: firewalling and load-balancing technology, hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate or A10 Networks is a plus.
- Preferred: optical transmission technology, hands-on experience with ADVA or Infinera is a plus.
- Experience with managing a small team of technology professionals (recruitment, engagement, coaching, development, priority setting and planning)
- A “use common sense”, “get it done” and “make it fun” attitude.
- Focus on a structured way of organizing work and sharing information (documentation)
- A drive to improve quality and prevent incidents.
- Good command of written and spoken both English and French
