**Nature & Scope**:

- We are seeking a cash management supervisor with a strong and strategic understanding of accounting principles to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Finance (Financial Planning & Analysis), the Cash management supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the cash management process, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and banking. The position will be overseeing a team of 3-5 individuals and will be expected to provide hands-on support. In addition, this position will review general ledger coding and analyze related vendor and payment data.

**The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is a CPA Pre-approved Program Route (PPR) office.**

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Supervisor and mentor a team of 3-5 individuals
- Provide hands
- on coverage for the team while team members are away
- Oversee the cash management process (AR, AP and banking) for month end close.
- Prepare What-If Analysis to monitor how the key metrics will impact the overall financial outcome of the organization
- Reviewing, editing, and posting the month end entries from subsystems including sub-ledger entries and accruals information to the general ledger
- Maintain and update policies for accounting processes relating to cash management.
- Working with branch administrative staff to correct procedures and resolve issues
- Training staff on procedures AP/ AR and banking
- Provide guidance to the Accounts Payable team, which includes reviewing invoice and purchase card entries
- Perform Accounts payable analysis to improve the payables processes and to reduce the risk of errors
- Preparation of year-end audit working papers
- Using experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- Managing processes and monitoring compliance while highlighting areas of improvement and efficiencies

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- 2-4 years of supervisor experience.
- Prior experience working with automated AP systems ideal
- Prior experience working in a not for profit environment preferred.
- Experience with Sage Intacct is an asset
- Experience with ActiveNet is an asset
- Strong Excel skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
