**Position: Greeter/Ambassador**

**Employment type: Full-time, part-time, or Casual**

**Job location: Seniors' long-term care home (Surrey area)**

**Position Overview**:
As a Greeter, you play an integral role in ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our residents, their families and visitors to the care home. Your primary responsibility is to aid and support residents, their families, the recreation team, and the administrative team to enhance the overall experience of all within the care home. Your friendly demeanor, compassion, and organizational skills will be key in creating a positive and warm environment that promotes residents' health and well-being.

**Summary of Job Duties**:

- To welcome and provide exceptional customer service to families and visitors entering the care home.
- Maintain front entrance cleanliness; maintaining adequate stock of masks; ensuring proper sanitization of supplies at the entrance; overseeing and ensuring sign-in forms are completed upon entrance.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to perform duties, such as assisting with copying, scanning, filing, and faxing documents.
- Collaborate and aid the Recreation Team with weekly resident socials to ensure smooth flow of activities while encouraging resident participation and ensuring a fun and engaging experience.
- Compose "Greeter Calendar" consisting of daily resident video call schedule, weekly Recreation socials, garden duties, and significant Recreation activities.
- Collaborating with the administration team and recreation team to obtain content and information to draft and compose visually appealing "Monthly Newsletter" to share relevant and valuable information to residents' families and visitors.
- Create residents' video call schedules and facilitate video calls for residents with their family and friends, ensuring a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable experience.
- Porter residents within the care home.
- Provide personalized one-on-one time and companionship to residents.
- Ensure facility garden amenities are maintained with proper care such as watering and fertilizing. (**Not required during fall/winter season)**

**Requirements**:

- Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Ability to work with and collaborate with other team members
- Ability to work independently
- Computer literate; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Canva
- Completion of Grade 12
- Pursuant with the British Columbia PHO Order, health-care workers in care homes must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of full vaccination status is required prior to commencing employment._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
