**Position Description**:
We are currently seeking a Psychologist to join the Department of Psychology. The role involves assessing and diagnosing cognitive, learning, behavioural, and social-emotional needs in children with connective tissue disorders. The Psychologist will primarily focus on serving school-age children, adolescents, and families within the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Clinic and Connective Tissue Disorders Program.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**:

- Conduct thorough consultations, screenings, and comprehensive assessments to evaluate a child¿s current cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing assessment findings and providing relevant recommendations.
- Deliver clear and informative feedback to families and clinic teams regarding assessment results and recommendations.
- Provide consultation services to school teams and other health and educational professionals, promoting collaboration and comprehensive support for the child.
- Enhance the team's ability to address the psychosocial needs of both the child and their family by complementing and expanding existing services.
- Work independently and collaboratively as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in clinical research, contribute to program development initiatives, and engage in quality improvement projects.
- Provide supervision and mentoships to trainees.

**Here's What You'll Need**:

- Ph.D. in Psychology from a CPA or APA accredited program or equivalent.
- Member in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in psychological assessment and diagnosis of children aged 4-18, with developmental and medical conditions. Common queries include Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, anxiety, and mood disorders.
- Proficiency in interviewing and educating families.
- Commitment to evidence-based care and practice.
- Initiative and passion to integrate research findings into clinical practice.
- Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion objectives
