**OPPORTUNITY**

Sunspear Microgrid is seeking a Solar Technician for an entry-level position to support home solar assessments in BC.

The position is funded by Eco Canada's Environmental Employability Pathways program, which supports youth (15-30) facing barriers to employment, including:

- Young women
- Visible minority youth
- lndigenous youth
- Youth living with a disability
- Official language minority communities (OLMC) and populations

**POSITION DUTIES**

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Self-starter, solution oriented, organized, independent worker
- Solar site assessment / installation experience preferred, but not required
- Technical training (diploma or undergraduate degree) preferred
- Electrical trades or related training preferred
- Valid BC Driver’s license
- Access to a vehicle preferred
- Comfortable working at heights (roofs / ladders), confined spaces (attics), using power tools
- Software skills - word, power point, excel
- Capable of lifting 40lb

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC
