Quality Assurance Team Leader

The Quality Assurance Team Leader is the first level of supervision responsible for ensuring execution of our standard workflows for Complaints, Non Conformances, and Corrective and Preventive Actions. The Team Leader leads a dynamic team to record and document all external complaints, investigate and lead CAPA teams to solve chronic and high importance problems, and investigate and resolve system NCRs. Daily tasks include interfacing with all team members to monitor progress on issue resolution, documenting and reporting on team performance, and steering CAPA teams to ensure effective first time problem solving.
**Snapshot of Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and collate key performance indicators of the quality system.
- Make independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.
- Assign, outline and review work for adequacy to quality requirements and regulations.
- Ensure the team's adequacy of training in Quality Assurance.
- Coordinate significant investigations, especially escalations of performance issues with customers.
- Interface with engineering and production on quality related issues in quality system processes.
- Participate in internal and supplier audits as an audit team leader; participate in supplier audits as an audit team leader.
- Participate in external audits as an audit escort.
- Conduct project planning with departmental authorities.
- Plan, coordinate and implement improvements of Quality procedures and processes (e.g., Document control, record control, internal audits).
- Support implementation of any Quality System implementations.
- Plan and review work of others and conduct employee evaluations and career development planning.
- Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Some travel may be required.
- Perform other duties as required.
**What you bring to the team**
- Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering or related Science
- Training or certification in quality field is required
- 6+ years of related work experience
- 2+ years of people leadership experience
- Influential leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in statistical and analytical techniques
- Demonstrated competence in ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 19011, 21 CFR 820, CMDCAS and EU MDR, and other relevant jurisdictional regulations
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (presentation, written and oral)
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management
