**The role**:
The position is responsible for the regional food safety and quality assurance program, ensuring that employee’s practices and products meet all relevant regulatory requirements and that they support the attainment of primary business objectives.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Conduct product evaluation and improvement projects
- Participate and monitor production lines Food Safety and Quality Assurance program implementation and improvement
- Review product specification, labels and claims for approval, improvement and rejection
- Maintain, update and improve vendor FSQA control data system
- Investigate customer complaints
- Conduct regular product safety and quality inspections Knowledge, Skills and Ability
**Requirements**:
- Post-Secondary degree in Food Science, Public Health Inspection or other related disciplines
- Sound knowledge of both Canadian and International regulatory
- HACCP Certificate and food industry working experience is required
- Possess 2 or more years work experience in food safety, quality assurance
