**ABOUT THE POSITION**

This position is responsible for providing overall leadership to, and coordinating the activities of, the advisory services business unit including ensuring the effective promotion of safety education and marketing of SCSA programs and services via the advisory services team; supervising employees in accordance with Association policies and procedures, and providing safety-related customer service to SCSA membership and other identified customers.

**This position provides leadership to a group of 14 Advisors and 1 Senior Advisor (team lead) spread between our Regina and Saskatoon offices.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Operations Leadership team to plan and execute corporate strategies; plan, communicate and evaluate business unit goals in conjunction with corporate strategies.
- Lead business unit effectiveness: collaborate with human resources to recruit, select, onboard, and train employees; coach/mentor employees, and identify professional development opportunities; foster team collaboration; communicate, monitor, and evaluate job expectations; provide ongoing performance management to support employee effectiveness and development, and oversee workflow and assignments.
- Consistently implement corporate administrative policies, procedures, and practices and ensure the effectiveness of business unit procedures and practices.
- Analyze, coordinate and document business unit processes and problems, and develop solutions to enhance efficiencies; coordinate and implement solutions to improve customer/member service, reduce costs, and improve work efficiencies.
- Manage employee leave and overtime requests, and review required reports including expense reports.
- Provide meaningful reporting on business unit operations including progress towards corporate objectives; propose and monitor annual business unit budget; and manage contracts related to unit operations.
- Schedule and conduct effective business unit meetings.
- Analyze and coordinate unit activities and special projects to ensure quality service pertaining to promoting safety education and marketing and delivery of programs and services.
- Represent the Association on stakeholder committees and at various functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Key Knowledge Areas**:

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, video conferencing software).

**Required Competencies**:

- Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, and motivating employees.
- Effective people management, conflict resolution, and teambuilding skills.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and effectively manage time.

**Required Education/Certifications & Experience**:

- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Management, or related area.
- Five years of related experience (three years of which in a management/supervisory position).
- Experience managing employees located in more than one office.
- A suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be considered.
- The following qualifications/experience would be considered assets in this role._
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization.
- Knowledge of the Saskatchewan construction industry, occupational health and safety, and Workers’ Compensation Board policy.
- NCSO or NHSA designation.

- This position requires travel within the province; a valid driver’s license is required.

- $69,550 - $104,325 annual salary
