We're looking for a Quality Assurance & Control Manager to support our Production and Safety & Compliance departments.

**What you’d do**:
Ensure our products meet all safety standards, legal codes, and certification requirements so we can offer the best packaging possible.

You would report directly to the VP of operations and handle the implementation, updating, and maintenance of all quality related matters in conformance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance/control standards. You would manage a quality team spanning both of our manufacturing facilities and oversee the daily quality-related operations, investigate and correct non-conformities, and follow up on any customer complaints. On the admin side, you’d create and review SOPs, manuals, standards, and policies, as well as perform regular materials and product evaluations. Your goal is continuous improvement and waste reduction.

**More details of what you'd do**:

- Ensure the quality of our cans meet or exceed quality standards, both internal and external.
- Oversee quality inspections, including taking measurements of the raw materials and finished goods.
- Track our process to make sure it’s efficient and follows specification.
- Organise and maintain all appropriate logs and records.
- Write/update and oversee the implementation of all guidelines and procedures.
- Review any test reports from our production team and fix any non-conformities.
- Implement and run a quality training and orientation program for other employees.
- Continue to improve our process.
- Gather information to create reports, charts, and presentations.
- Travel to our plant in Oshawa as needed.

**What experience and education you need**:

- **Professional experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role in the quality field, preferably in a production facility for packaging, food processing, metal, or plastic parts.
- **Education**: Minimum BA in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering, and/or a degree in quality control. ISO 9000, Lean Six Sigma, AIB, and/or SQF knowledge is a definite asset.

- **Learning**:Are you a quick learner? Do you like to keep expanding your knowledge base?
- **MS Office Suite**: Do you know your way around the MS Office Suite like you know your way around your neighbourhood? Can you use it to make charts and graphs?
- **Canadian languages**:Is your English excellent? Is your French fantastic? Can you write effectively in both languages?
- **Time management, multitasking, and organising**:Can you prioritise work demands? Are you able to meet deadlines without panicking? Can you keep neat, accurate files?
