**Quality Assurance And Testing Technician**

**Asnapshot of your day**

TheQuality assurance and testing technician is mainly responsible of performingthe electrical tests on the transformers, to inspect the products, to diagnosethe quality issues and to generate and complete the non conformity reports. He acts as a resource person by ensuringcompliance with methods and procedures.

**Howyou’ll make an impact**
- Perform routineelectrical and "type" tests (**shock wave,temperature rise, noise level**) on transformers to ensure that they meetrequirements according to established procedures and route the product to the nextstep at using suitable lifting equipment (occasional presence of the customer).
- Visually anddimensionally inspect the material upon receipt and the finished product basedon drawings, specifications and complete the required reports according to establishedprocedures.
- Respond to ad hocrequests/questions from coordinators, employees and engineering related toquality issues during production, product improvement or prototypes
- Take material dimensions and diagnose qualityissues during production.
- Write non-conformity reports (RNC, PRC, RTS),issue provisions and corrective actions and notify the persons concerned
- Ensure compliance with methods and proceduresduring production and issue recommendations as needed.
- Participate in internalaudits and issue recommendations.
- Maintain order andcleanliness of the workstation (safety, environment).

**What you bring**
- College degree inElectrical or Electrotechnical Engineering Technology (DEC)
- Experience working inan organization with a strong commitment to health, safety and the environment
- Knowledge ofmetrology and plan reading an asset
- Experience in amanufacturing plant an asset
- General computerskills (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access)
