Hawthorne, Piggott & Company is looking for a Junior/Intermediate Family Law/Litigation Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities of this position include:

- preparing and drafting various correspondence and documents, including court pleadings;
- setting court dates;
- coordinating mediations, discoveries, and hearings;
- maintaining an efficient file management and bring forward system, including tracking deadlines, court dates and limitation dates;
- maintaining a full calendar;
- generating regular billings; and
- general administrative duties as required.
- Legal Administrative Assistance course or equivalent (desired but not necessary);
- minimum of 2 years’ experience as a family law/litigation legal assistant (desired but not necessary);
- excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- knowledge with Word, Divorcemate, Adobe, and PC Law;
- attention to detail;
- a positive attitude and the ability to “think outside the box” to problem solve; and
- the ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks.

We offer a competitive salary and a congenial work environment. This is a Monday to Friday, full time (9am to 5pm), in-office (non-remote), permanent position.
