**Position Title**:Material Manager

**Reports To**:
**Terms of Employment**: Permanent, Full Time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement material management strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to ensure adequate supplies while minimizing excess.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Operations and Procurement teams to forecast material requirements and plan inventory needs.
- Analyze material usage data and trends to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of material transactions by always updating the MBOMS before transferring / issuing materials to operations and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Manage the creation of purchase orders to secondary suppliers and maintain a smooth flow of work.
- Look after the scheduling system for internally fabricated parts from machine shop, welding and painting in alignment to the production needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to resolve quality, delivery, and pricing issues.
- Driving cost savings improvement initiatives to continuous improve material management system.
- Lead and mentor the material management team, providing guidance and support as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in material management, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS) and Lean Manufacturing will be an asset.**Compensation**:

Pay: $60,276.97-$85,289.00 per year
