Park Paving Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Payroll & Benefits Administrator **to work out of our head office located at 1453-91 St SW Edmonton. As a leading road construction contractor in Edmonton and the surrounding area, we are committed to providing quality work and exceptional service to our clients and co-workers.

Reporting to the Payroll & Benefit Supervisor, the primary duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Assist with onboarding new and returning seasonal employees
- Register employees for company group benefit plans, and terminate as required
- Calculate employee taxable benefits for group benefit plan
- Ensure employee is paying their portion of benefit premiums
- Review monthly benefit invoices for accuracy and administer payments
- Track YTD expenditures and reconcile GL accounts related to benefits
- Communicate with employees regarding benefit plans and assist with employee claims as needed
- Process benefit terminations and calculate balance to refund or collect from employee.
- Enter driver timesheets and assist with other timesheet entry as needed
- Assist with other payroll duties and process payroll when needed

Overtime may be required including weekends and holidays in order to meet payroll processing deadlines. **Requirements**:

- Some post secondary courses in payroll or accounting, a certificate or diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills, committed to meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Must be efficient using pivot tables and v-lookups.
