**Position Summary**:
Field Education Liaison reporting to the Associate Dean, works closely with the Program Coordinators of the Behaviour Science and the Behaviour Analysis degree Programs to place students in appropriate agencies for their Field Experience.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ensures there are suitable and adequate Field Placement opportunities with external organizations for students in the Behavioural Science and Behaviour Analysis degree programs.
- Liaises with the Pre-Placement Coordinator to ensure students have completed the Medical Requirements and Vulnerable Sector Check as required by programs before being placed.
- Maintains communication with students and agency partners regarding placement onboarding, accommodations, inquiries, interview, etc.
- Responds promptly to any issues which may arise related to field placement and ensures their resolution and/or reporting as required to the appropriate program coordinator, relevant faculty and to the Associate Dean.
- Maintains an up-to-date database of all placement agency information within the ORBIS or other field education management systems as well as on a back-up database stored locally in Excel.
- Collaborates on the revision of Student and Agency Field Placement Manuals on an annual basis.
- Provides information to the first-year cohorts on the placement process, including an overview of the Field Placement Manual for each program.
- Refers new and existing placements to the Associate Dean for establishment of appropriate affiliation agreements.
- Identifies and follows up with new Field Placement opportunities.
- Manages the on-going relationships with external field placement providers and undertakes any activities which promote and enrich such relationships including site visits, meetings, etc.
- Participates in job fairs for Behavioural Science students and agencies/employers.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Three-year Graduate of a Behaviour Science program, certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Minimum three (3) years’ related experience and demonstrated understanding of the Behaviour Science field.
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant agencies/organizations available in the community for potential student placements.

**Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.**

- The College requires proof of degrees, credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post-secondary institutions and/or their international equivalents. Credentials may require validation at the time of interviews or offer.
- First consideration will be provided to regular part time (RPT) support staff in accordance with the part time Support Staff Collective Agreement.
