**Cut to length Line Operator and Helper**

At Dass Steel Service Centre we are looking for an experienced Cut to length Line Operator and Helper whose responsibilities are:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct daily inspections of machine at the beginning of each shift
- Assist line operators in completing machine set-ups to cut metal coils into sheets
- Use lifting equipment to move the correct material to the production line for each scheduled order
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality products are produced within specified tolerances
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet customer specifications
- Assist in packaging material according to order specifications
- Participate in daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of cut to length or slitter machine operating experience
- Ability to read imperial measurements and work instructions
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Overhead Crane experience is an asset
- Good work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamworking and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
