The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute is seeking a part-time (0.75 FTE) Research and
Evaluation Specialist to begin immediately. The position is available until March 31, 2023 with the possibility of extension.

**Nature and Scope**
Reporting to the Research and Evaluation Lead and Executive Director, the Specialist is responsible for collaborating on and implementing research and evaluation activities at the
Saskatchewan Prevention Institute. The Specialist will conduct this work for the following programs: Sexual and Reproductive Health Program, Child Injury Prevention Program, and the
Early Childhood Team.

The Research and Evaluation Specialist will work closely with the other members of the
Research and Evaluation Team and other staff on a regular basis.

The position is located in Saskatoon, SK.

**Specific Accountabilities**
Reporting to the Research and Evaluation Lead and Executive Director, the Specialist is specifically accountable for:

- Review of Research and Evidence
- Program and Project Evaluation
- Knowledge Translation and Exchange
- Skills and Expertise _(such as best practices for research and evaluation activities and _
- implementing principles of harm reduction and health equity) _

**Required Qualifications and Experience**
Master’s degree in a relevant field of study is required (e.g., public health, epidemiology, education, psychology). An undergraduate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in research, evaluation, and knowledge exchange will be considered.

Experience conducting and coordinating the completion of research and evaluation activities, such as literature reviews, environmental scans, needs assessments, and focus testing, is required.
- Experience in knowledge translation and exchange, including the use of evidence-based information in decision making and resource development
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment

The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute requires the submission of a satisfactory criminal record check prior to employment.

**Salary Range**
The salary range for this position is $48,750 to $60,000 (prorated to 0.75 FTE), with the starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
