We are a furniture delivery company located in Toronto Ontario and have specialized in this industry for over 20 years. We partner with furniture retailers, manufacturers and designers to support their supply chain, warehousing, delivery and moving needs. We also service residential and business clients with their single and multi-location moves. We are a growing company focusing on scaling and expansion from within.

The Warehouse Lead oversees all warehouse activity, ensures efficient processes and maximizes warehouse productivity but also rolls up their sleeves and leads by example. The responsibilities of this role include supervising employees (leading by example), logistics coordination, ensuring the quality of goods and preparing documentation. A successful warehouse supervisor should be experienced in optimizing warehouse processes, effectively lead a team, be consistent and dependable and have superior organizational and time management skills.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee all warehouse operations to ensure strict adherence to all compliance expectations, policies and procedures while working alongside the warehouse team.
- Ensure the optimal performance of the warehouse through understanding of company best practices, policies and procedures.
- Provide regular coaching and feedback to the team and develop an understanding of strengths and growth opportunities.
- Work with senior management to optimize the structure and workflow of warehouse processes.
- Forecast inventory, shipping and receiving orders and plan space, schedules and sequence of tasks to optimize operations.
- Complete and oversee functional warehouse responsibilities such as order picking, order verification, order sorting and packing, shipping, receiving and organizing/storing product.
- Use all equipment safely and ensure up to date certification and training of all warehouse equipment (pump truck, forklift, cherry picker).
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation for all shipping, receiving and inventory and take part in inventory audits and counts.
- Implement performance productivity standards; resolve operational problems, be a point of contact for escalations, maintain procedural manuals, trial, roll out and implement new processes and procedures within the warehouse.
- Maintain regular communication with other departments and senior management by documenting and communicating actions, escalations and changing needs via meetings and internal communication systems.
- Ensure regular cleaning, organization and maintenance of warehouse including safety standards, regulations and required PPE.

**Qualifications**
- Direct supervisory experience in a similar field.
- Post secondary diploma in a related field (business, shipping and logistics).
- Experience leading the day-to-day operations of warehouse services.
- Proven success building a strong team using coaching, training and skills development techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including strong working knowledge of Google docs, Microsoft Office and can easily learn new software platforms.
- Knowledge and experience implementing and maintaining workplace health and safety legislations and requirements.
- Flexible and adaptable to change in a dynamic environment.
- Willing to go above and beyond, lead by example, trustworthy, reliable and a positive attitude.
- Heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.
- Willing to work extended shifts and weekends.

**Salary**: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
