Roscoe Construction Limited is a General Contracting Firm that was established in 1966. Our main office is located in Cambridge, Kings County, Nova Scotia. We typically service the Annapolis Valley and South Shore. We specialize in Design Build and Project Management in the areas of agricultural, commercial, institutional, and industrial construction.

**Job Duties**:
You will be responsible for laying out of features on construction sites using a robotic total station called the Topcon LN-150. This can range from marking batter boards for new foundations, working in a trench checking and laying out grade for pipe installation, and laying out parking lots and roads. You will be responsible for recording the location of what you install and then create a as-built drawing at the end of a job showing the exact location of all underground features. You will be expected to help with labour work occasionally when checking grade on floor or installing pipe. There may be times where you will be expected to run some equipment, including a small and large plate tamper, a roller, or a skid steer. You will be responsible for handling and caring for the survey equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Basic knowledge of CAD or other civil design tools.
- Basic knowledge of how to read construction plans.
- Knowledge of materials, tools, equipment and practices used in commercial construction.
- Interpersonal, teamwork and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within groups.
- You must be able to problem solve and work out any issues that may arise.
- Safety training in WHMIS 2015/GHS, and First Aid an asset.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
