**Position Title**: Venue Manager Location: The BG, Halifax Beer Garden, NS (waterfront)
**Job type**: Full-time, Seasonal
**Salary Range**:$50,000- $60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Located in the heart of Downtown Halifax we have been Serving up legendary hospitality experiences since 2008.

Legendary Hospitality in the heart of Downtown Halifax are looking for a Venue Manager to join our team at The BG for the summer. We are looking for a passionate hard working individual to join and lead our Front of House teams.

**Responsibilities**
- The Venue Manager is overseeing the daily operations of the venue, including the selection, development and performance management of employees
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining up to date knowledge of all food and drink products
- Responsible for processing cash and electronic payments on a day to day basis, ensuring that they are accurate and balanced at the end of each day as well as optimizing profits
- Work as a team, keep a friendly attitude with coworkers and a joyful composure with guests
- Scheduling employees, hiring and training new employees - Examining food and beverage presentation and controlling consistency
- Handle escalated customer complaints and be the first point of contact in management for staff and guests
- Overseeing the inventory and ordering of liquor and bar supplies - Maintaining occupational health and safety standards and fire safety regulations
- Ensure that guests are provided with a Legendary experience.
**About you**
- 2-5+ years in the food and beverage industry an asset
- An experience in late night, drink led venues an asset - Previous experience leading a team
- A working knowledge of cuisine is an asset
- Must be punctual, reliable, have ability to work as a team and independently and have a strong work ethic
- Physical demands include walking and standing, bending, kneeling, repetitive twisting and lifting, and repetitive arm movements
- Be able to work outside for a prolonged period of time
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
- Uniforms and PPE provided by LHG must be worn during work hours
**Work Authorization**
- Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
