Calgary, Canada Pacekids Programs Full time

Location: Pacekids’ North (Head Office) & Pacekids’ South
- Full-time Temporary 18- Months, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.

**Responsibilities**

Include, but are not limited to:
**Leadership**
- Lead the direction of all new and existing ESC related programs.
- Manage staff, ensuring direct reports have the resources required to achieve the objectives of each program.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
- Manage performance of staff through the annual goal setting and performance evaluation process. Collaborate with staff to translate organizational goals to individual goals.
- Foster a culture based on Pacekids’ vision, mission, and values.
- Determine workforce needs and participate in recruitment and other human resource areas as required.

**Financial Management**
- In collaboration with internal stakeholders and the senior leadership team, develop and manage budgets for all ECS related programs.
- Maintain appropriate fiscal controls to ensure ECS programs are within the scope of the annual budget.
- Identify and implement areas for growth as well as program and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure programs have met all funding requirements.
- Identify and support other related funding and business opportunities for Pacekids.
- Contribute to writing grants and securing research funding to support ECS related programs.

**Program Management**
- Set directions and provide leadership to ECS staff in all areas of programming and service delivery.
- Collaborate with teams to implement the best practice framework for programming operations.
- Manage the development and revision of policies, guidelines, and procedures with appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with all government regulations.
- Develop quality standards to ensure consistent and meaningful evaluation of all programs, measuring their impact and success and implementing areas for improvement.
- Ensure program staff have the tools and resources to successfully deliver programs.
- Supports team in responding to client concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

**Administration**
- Ensure organizational policies, procedures and guidelines are communicated and understood by team members.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with the senior management team.
- Ensure all program reporting requirements are fulfilled and submitted.
- Submit monthly board reports to the Executive Director, communicating key information, trends, and forecasting.
- Comply with and promote Pacekids’ workplace health and safety program, holding team accountable for health and safety compliance.
- Oversee the management of the agency database, ensuring staff are accountable for maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of agency data.

**Strategic Planning**
- In collaboration with members of the senior management team, formulate, develop, and execute the strategic plan.
- Develop annual goals and objectives for program areas and work with team to translate organizational goals to individual goals.
- Lead the planning and implementation of research and innovative activities within programming to align with the strategic plan.
- Identify and implement opportunities for growth in programming.
- Identify and implement program and operational efficiencies while continuing to evolve and address the needs of Pacekids’ clients.

**Community Relations**
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with different stakeholder groups including donors, alumni/ae, clients, staff, and members of the board.
- Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully, ensuring confidentiality and strong professional ethics.

**What You Bring**
- Post-secondary degree with a focus on education and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role, or equivalent. Certificated teacher required, with a Master of Education degree preferred.
- Proven success in forecasting, developing, and managing complex budgets.
- Previous direct experience working in the non-profit, education or human services sector, including strategic planning and implementation of operational goals and objectives.
- Knowledge and proven ability to work with ECS programming and funding is an asset.
- Proven leadership ability and experience in recruiting, motivating, and supporting staff.
- Human resource knowledge and experience managing large teams.
- Experience with government contracts and funding.
