**Work Arrangements**
- Located at the Langley and Aldergrove WorkBC offices this is a full-time position which will include, on occasion, Wednesdays and Thursdays evenings from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m.**What Douglas Offers**

**The Role**
- Representing Douglas College at the Aldergrove WorkBC Centres the Career Coach/Resource Centre Advisor will coordinate and organize all resource information as well as deliver Intake and Case Management Services to help Clients achieve and maintain sustainable labour market attachments.**Responsibilities**
- Assist with greeting clients and visitors ensuring clients sign-in, answer queries and direct appropriately
- Support Clients in accessing all relevant resources, including any specific resources that may be identified for individual clients and direct and refer the Client to other programs and resources
- Conduct Client Needs Assessment (CNA) in accordance with Work BC guidelines for case management interventions or services to determine employment readiness and need for case managed services;
- Provide clients with career planning assistance providing referral(s) to workshops or other community agencies;
- Maintain contact with the Client to support, motivate, and monitor the Client’s progress;
- Work with any Client who achieves employment, achieves sustainable employment or obtains a community attachment and establish, in accordance with WorkBC Policy, a sustainment plan for the Client’s Employment, Sustainable Employment or Community Attachment;
- Assist clients through one to one coaching with resume writing, job search techniques, career planning materials, assessment tools and other ESC resources;
- Implement the results of the Needs Determination to create, in collaboration with the Client, a realistic and achievable Action Plan;
- Determine eligibility for financial supports and services
- Maintain regular contact with the Client to support, motivate, and monitor the Client’s progress
- Ensure that upon assessment, clients are provided with the full spectrum of services available to them, as per WorkBC Policy, and that Action Plans are updated/renewed and signed accordingly
- Complete reports such as monthly Client Success Stories as per the requirement of the ESC and submit for review to the Centre Manager;
- Provide Job Sustainment Services, in accordance with WorkBC Policy, to any Client who achieves either Employment, Sustainable Employment or secures Community Attachment
- Review monthly your individual Key Performance Measures (KPM) to ensure that you are providing the right services at the right time for Clients with the Centre Manager
- Meet or Exceed Service Utilization targets for the following services: Skills Training, Wage Subsidy, and Self Employment
- Ensure that all required documentation is in place to support the start and completion of the agreed upon intervention (Client Milestones);

**To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need**
- Post-Secondary diploma/degree, in employment services related field or equivalent level of experience;
- Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) Certification an asset;
- Commitment to continuous learning and development;
- Ability to exhibit respect for clients, client diversity, and community partners;
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of local labour market and labour market trends;
- Knowledge of WorkBC and its mandate an asset;
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal records check.
- Experience providing customer service and resolving issues in person & virtual service delivery environment;
- Experience working with individuals with complex barriers and a wide range of cultural backgrounds;
