Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time **Assistant Chief Pilot **to join our growing and ever-changing organization. The Assistant Chief Pilot supports the Chief Pilot and Flight Operations department in day-to-day management of crews, operations, and specific projects. They will assist with developing policies and processes relevant to the department, provide advice in matters of discipline, and ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and the Flair company operations manual.

The Assistant Chief Pilot will report directly to the Chief Pilot.

**Primary Job Functions**:
The duties of the **Assistant Chief Pilot **include:

- Conduct and supervise line operation flying duties monthly
- Develop and maintain flight crew operating procedures
- Develop and maintain pilot communications, memo’s, company pages & RAQM
- Conduct flight operations safety investigations
- Liaison with several external agencies which may affect FAL operations;
- Support in ensuring that crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time regulations, and that all crew members are kept informed of any changes to the regulations and standards;
- The dissemination of airplane safety information, both internal and external, in conjunction with the safety management system;
- Support the management of Flair’s Safety Management Program
- those duties as delegated by the Chief Pilot as required;

**Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities and Responsibilities**:

- Involved in reactive and proactive risk assessments.
- Initiate the creation and implementation of corrective action plans because of Event/Hazard Reports, Preventative/Corrective Action Requests (PCAR) or audit findings.
- Encourage active participation in the SMS for all FAL personnel.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- Two (2) years’ experience in Flight Operations management and/or training departments is preferred.
- Captain Qualifications on the Boeing 737
- Above standard understanding of Flair policies, procedures, and operational philosophy
- Ability to work diplomatically with others in a high-pressure environment.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- High level of technical competency with IT systems
- Must be able to organize and maintain required duties and execute them in a timely fashion.
