- North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM), a tri-municipal agency providing emergency management services to the District of North Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver, and the District of West Vancouver, is seeking a Planning Assistant II to join the team for a 12-month temporary opportunity.**Position Overview**In this role you will**:

- Perform a variety of technical and research tasks related to NSEM planning projects.
- Conduct research and analysis on a variety of planning related topics.
- Assist with compilation, review, and presentation of NSEM planning initiatives.
- Exercise a considerable degree of independence and initiative in carrying out assignments.
- Demonstrate care and diplomacy in facilitating meetings with internal departments and external partners.
- You will be expected to participate in the NSEM on-call schedule on a monthly rotational basis.**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by courses in emergency management at a technical institution or community college plus sound related experience in emergency planning and/or response, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence is required.**Details**:
