**Fit Technician/Patternmaker**

**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Technical Design and Fit, the Fit Technician/Patternmaker will play an integral role in developing quality garments that reflect the Groupe Dynamite brands by ensuring garments meet the aesthetic, fit and construction requirements while maintaining constant streamlined communication with the suppliers and cross-functional teams. You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick and mortar retailer, to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with the Design team for seasonal product development, from hand off to approval, achieving the desired look and fit of the styles;
- Develop initial technical packages including detailed sketches, technical specifications, workmanship, measurements and grading;
- Develop and maintain a library of pattern blocks to streamline the approval process and maintain a consistency of fit;
- Work directly with suppliers on style sample development;
- Measure and review all fit samples, prior to fittings, to ensure the samples match our requirements;
- Lead the fit sessions on live model and suggest improvement to the fit, workmanship or construction;
- Problem solve fit, construction and fabric issues as they arise;
- Keep our customer and and fit standard in mind throughout the fitting process from the first proto through all stages of pre-production samples;
- Write detailed comments which are enhanced with digital photographs, sketches, patterns, etc., critiquing the fit and workmanship of garment, and make any necessary changes to the technical package;
- Communicate the fit and construction requirements and corrections clearly to suppliers, anticipating potential production issues, and work out any problems that arise;
- Ensure suppliers properly execute fit corrections and necessary changes for the next stage of the process and execute a quality garment in line with Groupe Dynamite
standards;
- Maintain a cohesive history of the style as well as a high standard of quality for production;
- Manage the approval of samples for quality, fit, specs and workmanship;
- Maintain production deadlines by prioritizing the organization/logistics of samples approvals.

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years experience as a Fit Technician, Patternmaker or equivalent;
- Possess educational background in Fashion Design;
- Experience with fitting procedures, fitting corrections, and knowledge of CAD pattern
- making software such as PAD,LECTRA or other;
- Knowledge of garment construction;
- Bilingual (French/English) with strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Meticulous and detail-oriented;
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise way, verbal and written;
- Adaptable to changes;
- Able to work under pressure in a fast
- paced environment;
- Strong time management skills, highly organized and able to effectively prioritize workload.
