The CXO Secure Web team is looking for a Product Owner to lead a team in improving our retail client digital functionality within our secure site experience. This role will work closely with our Retail Advice & Solutions partners ensure the prioritization of development aligns with their desired outcomes while balancing the client experience and needs. In 2023, this role will be focused on the digital self-serve experience for a new Insurance product. This role is responsible for all facets of the preparedness, execution, change management and overall success management of the various features that are implemented as part of the agile team’s development.

**What will you do?**
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and product aligns with team strategy and requirements
- Setting an ambitious and clear product vision and communicate that vision effectively to stakeholders, your team, and the organization
- Work closely with business leaders to establish each product’s business value, and support messaging communication and customer outreach as necessary
- Prioritize and manage items in the backlog that allow you to maintain a backlog that is 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
- Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for the team
- Determine end-to-end team output strategy from inception to production
- Be accountable for product specific OKRs and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Stay at leading edge of existing market solutions/components being able to identify how they can transform our experiences.
- Be an advocate for simplicity of design and development, to deliver to market as effectively and efficiently as possible to gain consumer feedback earlier
- Define the target state operating model for our digital channel, overseeing all business and operational change management activities
- Oversee all required changes to completion by implementing timelines, tracking, and closely overseeing risks and dependencies
- Monitor already launched digital assets and determine how to optimize their performance, by developing a framework to measure impact of improvements.
- Identify experimentation opportunities and propose test-and-learns.

**What do you need to succeed?**
- A depth of strategic experience with a focus on business model evolution
- In-depth knowledge of the Insurance area and products at Sun Life would be a great asset.
- Effective at influencing others in supporting product direction
- Ability to manage and lead a team to push an end solution forward
- Strong communication skills and comfortable speaking with business stakeholders
- Able to navigate a large organization at a senior level
- Ability to collaborate and make decisions effectively with Technical Leads and Scrum Masters
- Skilled in handling change management
- Excellent ability to problem solve, and analyze options, to arrive at the best solution
- Firm grasp of development methodologies, particularly agile development
- A curious and continuous learning mind-set to test-and-learn
- Able to empower others to fail, learn, and grow
- Encouraging of an experimental mindset to drive innovation.
